Bekkers Family Trust Fund Set Up
Nanaimo, B.C. - January 02, 2009 - On December 22, Clare Bekkers, an active union member from DHL was returning to Nanaimo from visiting her mother in Victoria with her four children when she slid into oncoming traffic in extreme winter conditions.
Clare and Paul Bekkers lost their boys (8 & 2 years old) at the scene. Clare and her daughters (6Yrs) and (4 Yrs) were taken to hospital and are still there, though now are in stable condition.
A trust fund has been set up for the family with the Coastal Community Credit Union.
Donations to the fund can be made at any CCCU on the Island, or a cheque or money order can be made out to:
